Oak Viewer is built around one principle: your content is yours. The app does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data or media files.
Oak Viewer does not collect any personally identifiable information. We do not require account registration, email addresses, or any form of sign-in.
All photos, videos, PDFs, and other files you import into Oak Viewer are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to external servers by Oak Viewer.
Oak Viewer may use Apple's standard crash reporting through the App Store to receive anonymous crash logs. These reports do not include your media or personal data and are subject to Apple's privacy policy.
The in-app private browser does not share browsing history with the Oak Viewer app or with any third party. Pages are loaded using Apple's system WebKit framework. Browsing history within the in-app browser is not persisted between sessions.
If you enable the biometric app lock, Face ID or Touch ID authentication is handled entirely by iOS. Oak Viewer never has access to your biometric data.
Oak Viewer offers a 7-day free trial followed by optional paid subscriptions (yearly or lifetime). All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Oak Viewer does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, including credit card numbers or billing addresses.
The app uses Apple's StoreKit framework to verify your purchase status locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to any external server.
Your free trial start date is stored in your device's Keychain and is not shared externally. For users who purchased the app before the free trial was introduced, the app checks the original purchase date via Apple's App Transaction API to grant continued access. This check happens entirely on-device.
Oak Viewer does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or social media trackers.
Oak Viewer does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not target children.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated policy will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
